Rabbi Daniel Alder has served as the spiritual leader of Brotherhood Synagogue since 1994. Prior to that he worked with the Synagogue’s founding rabbi, Irving J. Block, as a student rabbi and assistant rabbi. Rabbi Alder graduated from the Jewish Theological Seminary’s Rabbinical School in 1989. He received a B.S. from Stanford University in Biological Sciences and an M.A. in Judaic Studies from the University of Judaism in Los Angeles. He is proud of the values of the Brotherhood Synagogue and the close connections he has made over the years with members and their families.
